What are the benefits of Ashwagandha for Women?
In this initial study, 50 healthy women either took ashwagandha or a placebo for 8 weeks. By the end of the study, those who took ashwagandha showed noticeable improvements in their sexual health. This included better scores in areas such as arousal, lubrication, orgasm, and overall satisfaction, which are all parts of the Female Sexual Function Index (FSF1)—a survey used to evaluate different aspects of female sexual health. Additionally, they experienced less sexual distress, as measured by the Female Sexual Distress Scale (FSDS), and reported more successful sexual encounters. These results indicate that ashwagandha can significantly enhance sexual function in healthy women.
